Arance Pete’s story doesn’t begin in a boardroom or a tech hub — it begins in Texas/Louisiana, in a family shaped by grit, faith, and the kind of wisdom that isn’t written down but passed from one generation to the next. He is the son of Howard and Ivory Pete, two people who taught him early that your name, your work, and your word are the only things you truly own.

From Howard, Arance learned steadiness — the kind of quiet strength that doesn’t need to announce itself. From Ivory, he learned clarity — how to speak truth without dressing it up; how to stand firm without losing compassion. Together, they gave him a foundation built on accountability, pride, integrity and the belief that you show who you are not when things are easy, but when they get hard.

Growing up Black in the South meant Arance saw both the beauty and the contradictions of community. He watched how people looked out for each other; how acts of kindness held families together. But he also saw how often brilliance went unrecognized, how talent could be overlooked, how systems weren’t built with people like him in mind. That friction shaped him. It sharpened his awareness. It taught him to read a room long before anyone said a word.

Technology became his way of building something different — something that didn’t depend on permission. But entering the tech world came with its own challenges: rooms where he was the only one who looked like him, conversations where accountability was optional, environments where deflection was easier than honesty. He could have adapted to that. He could have blended in.

He didn’t.

Instead, Arance made a decision — a quiet, internal one — to lead with the values he was raised on. To be the person who names the real issue. To build teams where people feel seen, supported, and challenged. To create spaces where excellence isn’t just expected but cultivated.
